SLAVIC BUTTER HORNS 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 c. butter
1 c. ground almonds

Mix all ingredients together BY HAND until soft and pliable. Take a 1" piece of dough and form a crescent. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 300°F until very light in color (about 8 minutes). While still warm, roll in vanilla sugar. (Put a split vanilla bean in a pound of confectioners' sugar.)
