FLUFFY EGG DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
2 tbsp. melted butter or oil
1 c. milk

Sift flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. In small bowl, combine egg, shortening, and milk. Mix well. Pour all at once into flour mixture. Whisk only until dry ingredients are moist. Drop by tablespoon into boiling stew. Cook uncovered over low heat for 10 minutes. Cover tightly; cook 10 minutes more. Remove dumplings, keep warm while thickening stew. Makes 10 dumplings.
