AMERICAN CHOP SUEY | |
Melt 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in pan. Add 1/2 chopped onion, fry until just beginning to brown. Add 1 pound hamburger, cook until browned. Pour off excess fat and add: 1 (#2 1/2) can tomatoes (3 1/2 c.) 1/2 c. cut-up green pepper 1 c. diced celery 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. celery salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni, which has been cooked, rinsed and drained Bring to boil, cover and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
