ALMOST NO CAKE FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. shelled whole Brazil nuts
1 1/2 c. shelled walnut halves
1 pkg. chopped dates
1 c. candied orange peel, chopped
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, drained
1/2 c. green maraschino cherries
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease bottom and sides of 2 (5"x9") loaf pans. Set oven at 300 degrees. Place first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Mix dry ingredients and sift over fruit and nuts. Beat eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend into nut mixture. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into pans and bake 2 1/2 hours or until tester comes out clean.
