SCALLOPS IN PASTRY SHELLS 
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. butter
1 lb. fresh scallops
1/4 c. dry sherry
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. half & half
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/4 c. flour

Simmer 8 minutes in 1 tablespoon butter the mushrooms, onion and scallops. Add sherry. In a saucepan melt 3 tablespoons butter, stir in flour until smooth. Slowly add salt, pepper, and half and half. Pour this mixture into scallops and heat thoroughly. Mixture will thicken rapidly. Serve in pastry shells.
