WALDORF SALAD 
4 med. apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. diced celery
1 c. walnuts
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. salad dressing
Salt to taste
Salad greens

Wash, quarter, and core apples, but do not peel. Dice into 1/2 inch pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice so apples will not darken.

Combine the apples, celery, walnuts and marshmallows, then fold in the salad dressing. Season with salt. Chill, if desired. Serve in bowl lined with greens or on individual salad plates.

A congealed salad may be made by preparing 1 package lemon gelatin according to package directions, chilling until partially set, then adding all ingredients except salad dressing and greens, as for Waldorf Salad. Chill until firm, then unmold on salad greens. Garnish with half circles of sliced, jellied, canned cranberry sauce, if desired. Yield: 6 servings.
