SAUSAGE - SPLIT PEA SOUP | |
2 c. split peas, soaked overnight in water 8 c. water 2 carrots, sliced rounds 2 stalks celery, chunks Salt & pepper to taste 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 tsp. chopped garlic 1 lb. Polsa Kielbasa, chunked 2-3 hours of simmering required. Drain water and rinse peas thoroughly. Add water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and sausage (Polsa Kielbasa). Bring to a boil then reduce heat. Simmer 2-3 hours until peas are soft. More water may be added as needed. Serves 6-8. |
