1 c. shortening (part butter) 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped Confectioners' sugar Cream shortening and sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Blend in flour, fold in nuts. Chill 30 minutes. Drop balls 1" in diameter into confectioners' sugar. Shape into balls, arrange on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Remove as soon as possible and roll in confectioners' sugar. Roll in sugar again when cool. |
