CHOCOLATE CAKE OR CUPCAKES 
Cocoa
2 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. milk
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Into large bowl measure flour and remaining ingredients, and 3/4 cup of cocoa. With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until mixed, constantly scraping bowl. Increase speed to high, beat 2 minutes, occasionally scraping bowl.

Pour batter into pans. Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center of cake or cupcakes comes out clean. Cool on wire racks until cool.
