1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
2 tbsp. strawberry Jello
Few drops red coloring
1 qt. fresh strawberries

Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add Karo and water; bring to a boil and cook 6 minutes. Add Jello and coloring. Cool. Wash berries and put in baked pie shell. Pour cooled mixture over berries. Cool and top with whipped cream or topping.
