EMPANADAS 
2 sticks (1/2 lb.) butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 c. flour
Jam

Cream butter and cream cheese. Add flour and beat well. Chill overnight. Roll out (1/3 at a time) fairly thin. Cut into circles about 2 1/2 to 3 inches across. Put a dab of jam in each circle, fold in half and seal edges with a fork. Prick tops and bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 18 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar after slightly cooled. Roll in sugar again after completely cooled.
