T.O.'S POTATO SOUP 
1/4-1/2 lb. bacon, cut into sm. pieces
1 med. onion, cut up
1 stalk celery, cut up
Red pepper flakes
1 carrot
8-10 potatoes
Instant mashed potatoes
Salt & pepper to taste

In a skillet brown bacon, onions and celery. When brown, pour it into soup pot, drippings and all. Add about 1/2 gallon water. Sprinkle in a little red pepper and grate in some carrot for color. Cut up potatoes into bite size pieces and add to pot. Cook until done. Add instant potatoes a little at a time to thicken. Salt and pepper to taste.
