1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 can cherry pie filling
4 eggs
1 tsp. almond
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time. Add flavoring and flour. Mix well.

Spread half the batter in a 9x12 inch pan. Spread 1 can cherry pie filing over batter. Drop rest of batter by spoonfuls over filling and spread. (This will look messy.) Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
