BRITISH FLAPJACKS | |
3/4 c. butter, melted 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. honey 1 lg. egg 4 c. regular rolled oats 1 c. coarsely chopped hazelnuts 1/2 c. raisins In a bowl, mix together butter, sugar, honey, egg, oats, nuts and raisins. Pat mixture firmly into a buttered and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake in a 300 degree oven until deep golden, 50-55 minutes. Cut into 16 pieces, then let cool in pan. Cook some more and remove from pan with a spatula. Serve or store airtight up to 5 days; freeze to store longer. Makes 16. |
