1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa

Beat butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, soda, salt and cocoa. Add flour alternately with milk. Bake in greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.
