IRISH SODA BREAD 
5 c. flour
5 rounded tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. milk

Blend all dry ingredients. Add 2 cups milk. Blend; measure out another 1/2 cup milk and add until mixture is moist, NOT too wet. Dump into greased and floured 10-inch iron skillet. Make an X on top.

Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. While warm, rub stick of butter over top and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
