1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/3 c. water
1/2 c. raisins

Drop by teaspoon on greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 24 cookies.
