FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Brazil nuts
1 1/2 c. walnuts
1 pkg. (7 oz.) dates
2/3 c. (2-3 oz.) cans candied orange peel
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1/2 c. maraschino cherries (red)
1/2 c. maraschino cherries (green)
3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease bottom of pans. Line with wax paper. Grease paper. Add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt to nuts and fruit. Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Mix with fruit and nuts. Batter is stiff; spoon into pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 3/4 hours.
