3 c. sugar
3 c. plus 3 tbsp. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 sticks butter, softened
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 c. fresh buttermilk
4 whole eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. butter extract

Add soda to milk and put aside. Into large bowl of mixer, sift flour, sugar and baking powder. Add milk and butter and beat 5 minutes on medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition; add extracts and mix well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes in 350 degree preheated oven.
