RICH BUTTER COOKIES 
2 stick soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. confectioners sugar
1 lg. eggs
2 c. sifted plain flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. instant non-fat dry milk powder
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Cream butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until thoroughly mixed. Add sugar a little at a time. Add eggs and blend well. Sift all dry ingredients together and add to cream mixture a little at a time. Fold in dry milk powder last. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees or until light brown. Watch closely as these will burn on the bottom very easily. Tops may be decorated before baking with pecan halves or candied cherries. Sprinkle tops with 4x sugar immediately upon removal from oven. Store in airtight container.
