RICE PULAU 
2 c. raw brown rice
1 c. diced carrots
1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. cayenne
3/4 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. turmeric
3 c. water
1/4 c. roasted peanuts
3/4 c. raisins
1 c. green peas

Wash rice in water. Melt butter in skillet, stir in honey. Saute the washed rice, carrots and spices in sweetened butter until golden. Add water and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

Turn down heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Turn heat off and let rice steam until water is gone and rice is cooked. Gently stir in peanuts, raisins and peas. Cook over low heat until hot. Yield: 5 cups.
