HONEY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/3 c. honey
1/4 c. shortening
1 tbsp. salt
1 3/4 c. warm water
3 c. whole wheat flour
3 to 4 c. white flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in large bowl. Stir in honey, shortening, water, salt and whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in enough white flour to make dough easy to handle. Knead on lightly floured surface. Let rise in bowl until double in size. Punch down. Divide dough in half. Shape into rectangles and place loaves in 2 greased bread pans. Bake in a 375 degree oven until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped, 35 to 40 minutes.
