MY MOTHER'S FAVORITE MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger 1/2 sm. onion, chopped Butter A-1 sauce 2 slices bread 1 egg, beaten 1/4 tsp. marjoram 1/4 tsp. thyme Sm. can tomato paste Shake of salt Shake of pepper Place hamburger in a large bowl. Saute the onion in butter until lightly brown. Add a couple of drops of A-1 sauce. Break up the bread into little pieces and add egg. Shake in marjoram, thyme, tomato paste, salt and pepper. Then add the onions, butter and all, to hamburger. Mix all of this by hand and place in a buttered pan. Add a little water. Cook for an hour at 350 degrees. I baste it at least once during that time. |
