CONGO SQUARES 
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter, room temperature
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour, self rising
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate bits
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs; beat, add flour; beat until mixed well. Fold in nuts, coconut, vanilla, and chocolate bits. Grease pan (9 x 13 inch), flour lightly. Bake at 325 degrees about 40 to 45 minutes. Cut while slightly warm. Freezes very well.
