BANANA NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 ripe bananas, mashed

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs. Mash ripe bananas well and add, then add dry ingredients. Add vanilla and nuts.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
