SWEDISH HEIRLOOM COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. toasted almonds or pecans, finely chopped
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
Additional confectioners' sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and nuts. Stir in the flour mixing until a stiff dough is formed. Shape into balls or crescents, using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake in preheated oven 12 to 15 minutes. DO NOT BROWN! Let cookies cool slightly, then roll in confectioners' sugar. 5 dozen.
