SUCCOTASH 
2 c. lima beans
1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn, fresh or canned
3 tomatoes, peeled & chopped
2 tbsp. butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Dash of dill
6 okra, sliced, (optional)

Cook and drain lima beans. Mix remaining ingredients together with beans, except for okra, and simmer until tomatoes are done. Add okra and cook additional 15 minutes.

I am glad someone has published a real southern succotash recipe. How these other people left out tomatoes is beyond me. Everything from the garden, my mom and mother in law (and now wife) made this all summer. Adding okra is OK, can understand that from deeper south. All this other stuff in other recipes amazes me.
