IRISH COFFEE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. commercial sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter until soft, add sugar and cream until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream. Stir in vanilla. Spread half of batter in greased 9 x 11 inch pan. Cover with half of nut mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

NUT MIXTURE:

1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. ground mixture

Mix well. Add half in middle of cake and the rest on top.
