GRANDMA'S EASTER SWEET BREAD 
5 lb. flour
3 packets dry yeast
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
12 eggs
2 c. warm water
1 tsp. vanilla
Handful salt

Combine dry ingredients, set aside. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup of the warm water and let foam. Whip eggs with remaining cup of water and vanilla. Mix everything together and knead. Add more water if dry. Cover and let rise until double. Punch down, knead and cover again. Let rise until almost double. Punch down and form into 9 small round loaves or 6 large round loaves. Place on cookie sheet and let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees until brown (approximately 40 to 45 minutes).
