1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
About 2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla. Add flour and soda to make a stiff dough. Make small balls, flatten with fork or hands. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
