CHEESECAKE SQUARES 
2/3 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 c. flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts

Filling:

2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
4 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter, butter and sugar until blended. Add flour and nuts; mix well. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Pat remainder into 13 x 9 x 2 pan.

Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°F. Should be light in color. While baking, make filling.

Cream together (by hand) cream cheese and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time. (Electric mixer makes smooth.) Beat in remaining ingredients. Pour over crust (can be warm). Sprinkle with reserved mixture.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 350°F oven. Cool well before cutting.
