STEAK ROLL 
2 1/2 lb. round steak
4 c. bread crumbs
3 sm. onions, finely chopped
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 can mushroom soup
2 tbsp. hot water
2 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. shortening, melted

Mix all ingredients except steak and soup. Spread mixture on steak; roll up and tie with cord in middle and ends. Flour roll and sear. Put roll in oblong casserole and cover with soup. Cover tightly with lid or foil; bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours. Slice in rounds to serve.
