SOFT PRETZELS 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
Coarse salt

Dissolve yeast in water. Add salt and sugar. Blend flour and knead until smooth (5 minutes). Cut into small pieces roll into rope, twist to pretzel shape. Place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.

Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. These do not keep long.
