WESTERN CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. lean stew meat, cut in cubes
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. red wine
1 c. water
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. oregano
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz.) pkg. whole wheat noodles, cooked

Coat meat with flour and salt; brown in oil. Add all ingredients except noodles and cheese. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add noodles and cheese. Simmer 5 minutes more and serve.
