BARBARA W.'S WESTERN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. cooked brown rice
2 1/2 c. canned stewed tomatoes
1 c. cut up ripe olives
1 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 to 3 tsp. chili powder

Brown beef in oil and remove with slotted spoon and set aside. Add onion, green pepper and rice, stirring over high heat until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, olives, water, meat, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Pour into a 2 quart greased baking dish. Cover and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes. Serves 4 to 6. Top with grated cheese, if desired.
