APPLE NUT SQUARES 
3 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar, sifted
1 c. oil
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
5 or 6 tart apples, sliced thin
1 c. nuts, chopped

Blend thoroughly sugar, oil and eggs. Add flour, salt, soda and cinnamon to egg mixture. Fold in apples and nuts. It will appear to have to many apples but that is as it should be.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in a greased and floured 13 inch by 9 inch pan. Can also be baked in a tube pan that may require 10 minutes longer to bake. A very moist cake will keep up to a week when refrigerated.
