1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, one at a time
1 can any kind of pie fruit filling
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Beat first 4 ingredients in mixer until smooth. Sift flour and baking powder and add to above mixture. Oil cookie sheet, spread half of batter on sheet and put filling over this and add remainder of batter. Cover filling, if possible. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

Ice with simple powdered sugar icing while warm.
