CHINESE BARBEQUE CHICKEN 
6 chicken breast filets
1/2 c. dry sherry
1/3 c. soy sauce
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. minced ginger
2 green onions, chopped
1 Star Anise, crushed
1 tbsp. Szechwan Peppercorns, crushed
1 tbsp. minced cilantro
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. chili paste with garlic

In a small bowl blend all ingredients together, except for chicken, sherry and soy sauce. Heat in microwave oven (or in saucepan on stove) for a minute to heat through (do not let boil). In bowl large enough to accommodate chicken breasts, blend sherry and soy sauce and remaining heated ingredients. Add chicken and let marinate for one hour.

Barbeque marinated breasts, basting with marinade, until just done. Slice and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
