4 sq. unsweetened chocolate 4 tbsp. butter 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 4 eggs 2 c. granulated sugar 1 c. chocolate bits 1 c. confectioners' sugar Melt together chocolate and butter, cool 5 minutes. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Blend eggs into cooled chocolate mixture, one at a time and granulated sugar. Beat 1 at a time. Combine dry ingredients, chocolate mixture and chocolate bits. Chill dough 30 minutes. Shape teaspoons of dough into balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Bake 2-3 inches apart on greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes. Remove and cool immediately. Store in closed containers to keep soft. |
