APPLE CRUMB PIE 
4 lg. apples
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
1 unbaked pie shell

Peel and core apple. Put apple slices in unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with half of the sugar (1/2 cup) and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. In a bowl mix together flour, butter and remaining sugar.

Sprinkle mixture on top, covering all the apples. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Turn oven down to 350 degrees and bake another 35 to 40 minutes or until browned and apples are done.

Variation: Use can of cherry or blueberry pie filling and top with butter, flour and sugar mixture or fresh peaches instead of apples.

Can do ahead. Serve immediately warm or later cool. Serves 6.
