TACO BURGERS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 3/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 8 hamburger buns 2 c. shredded lettuce 1 c. shredded American cheese In skillet brown meat; drain off excess fat. Add undrained tomatoes, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, sugar and dry mustard. Stir well, breaking up large pieces of tomato. Bring to boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until thickened. Spoon onto toasted buns. Sprinkle each of the burgers with shredded lettuce and cheese. Makes 8 burgers. |
