RANDY'S FLAVORFUL BEEF SOUP 
1 med. soup bone
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb. stew meat
3 tbsp. beef soup base
5 peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 c. frozen carrots and peas
3/4 c. frozen green beans
3-4 med. potatoes, diced

Boil soup bone in 3 quarts water for 1 hour. Strain broth, discard bones. Add stew beef and let simmer for 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients, simmer (covered) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Keep water level at about 3 quarts.
