CHEESE STRADA | |
12 slices white bread 3/4 lb. sharp process American cheese 10 oz. chopped broccoli 2 c. diced, cooked ham 6 eggs, slightly beaten 3 1/2 c. milk 1 tbsp. minced onion 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. dry mustard Cut 12 donuts and holes from bread. Set aside. Place the scraps of bread on the bottom of a 13"x9"x2" (greased) pan. Place cheese (set a small amount aside for later) over bread. Layer broccoli. Layer ham. Place "bread" donuts and holes on top. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over bread, ham, broccoli and cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Next day, bake uncovered for 55 minutes in 325 degree oven. Sprinkle with shredded cheese 5 minutes before end of baking time. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serves 12 to 15. |
