SPICY TEA COOKIES | |
1 c. butter, softened 1 egg 2 tbsp. molasses 1 tbsp. water 3 1/4 c. all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg, molasses, and water; mix well. Combine flour, soda, and spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing until blended. Roll dough to 1/8 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut dough with a shaped cutter. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets; bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Yield: 6-8 dozen. |
