VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
1 can butter beans
1 can tomatoes
1 sm. bottle ketchup
2 lg. Irish potatoes, cubed
1 handful macaroni
1-2 cans cream style corn
A little hot sauce (optional)

Saute hamburger, salt, black pepper, and onion until brown but not too brown. Cover with water. Add butter beans and tomatoes. Heat thoroughly. Add potatoes, ketchup, and macaroni. Cook until potatoes and macaroni are tender. Add corn but watch it as it will scorch easily.

Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with saltine crackers or cornbread. This is good on a cold rainy day.
