1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix until granules are small. Set aside one cup of mix. Blend remainder with:

1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Pour into 8 x 8 inch pans or one 9 x 13 inch pan, greased and floured. Sprinkle with reserved cup of mix and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
