2 c all purpose flour 1 tsp cloves 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 1 c cooking oil 3 eggs 1 c nuts 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c sugar 1 c buttermilk 1 c fig preserves Filling: 1 c sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 c buttermilk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 stick butter 1 tsp syrup Mix all ingredients and bake at 350°F, using large cake pan. Boil filling ingredients and pour over cake while cake is still hot. |
