GRASSHOPPER BARS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

GRASSHOPPER FROSTING:

3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 tbsp. green creme de menthe
2 tbsp. white creme de cacao
1 1/2 sq. (1 1/2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread in greased square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Bake wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes; cool. Top with Grasshopper Frosting.

Prepare brownies as directed; cool. Mix remaining ingredients except chocolate, spread over brownies. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

Heat chocolate over low heat until melted; spread evenly over powdered sugar mixture. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Cut into bars.
