POTATO CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. butter or Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. crushed potato chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted all purpose flour

Cream together shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add crushed potato chips and nuts. Stir in flour. Form into small balls using about 1 tablespoon of dough for each.

Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Press balls flat with bottom of tumbler dipped in sugar. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 16 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned. If desired sprinkle with red or green sugar or with nut or cherry cut in half before baking.
