LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. butter
2 c. + 4 tbsp. flour, divided
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
4 eggs
4 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Additional confectioners' sugar

Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Add 2 cups flour with 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Mix well. Pat down in pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, beat eggs and lemon juice until light. Sift together remaining 4 tablespoons flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add to egg mixture. Mix well. Pour over hot crust. Return to 350 degree oven and bake 25 minutes. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar over top. Cut into squares while hot. Makes 24 squares.
